Good Epic Music from a Soundtrack for a presentation?
I usually make an intro animation all the time for my presentations at my college. In the past times i used the following epic music
1.The Terminator Theme
2. 300 soundtrack
3. Gladiator Soundtrack
4. Conan the barbarian soundtrack
5. Star wars theme
For my next presentations can someone please tell me some epic music i can user, preferably from a movie.
—The Rocky theme; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2PtvLTZS4Ik (This one would be kind of corny, but it’s memorable)
—The Untouchables; Composer: Ennio Morricone (He has done many soundtracks. So, you could probably check the others, too.); Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW8iIGRVhMA&feature=related
—From Requiem for a Dream, Composer Clint Mansell; Song: “Lux Aeterna” (This one is actually a remix called Requiem for a Tower; There are some choir singers in the background in the middle. I would definitely call this song epic.) Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XI_oWrseTKk (Depending on what you plan on doing, it might work, and it might not.)
—Kill Bill Theme; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AHT3dpPve0o
—Sin City; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vHWIBhm-x-g
—Backdraft; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D8Xk38J0cYo&feature=related
—The Matrix; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HU_DER-_vqI&feature=related
—28 Days Later; The song is In The House-In A Heartbeat; composer: John Murphy (The youtube link is incorrect; it says 28 Weeks Later); Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dMyIG2EKPoE (Not what I would call an epic song, but this would be kind of neat to use.)
—I Am Legend; Composer James Newton Howard; Song, “My Name is Robert Neville;” Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PMQaQuI0-mI
—The Last of the Mohicans; Composer Trevor Jones; Song Promentory; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FW1r9CKjV5g (This would be hard to match with slides, but–here’s a suggestion–if you can find someone who plays the electric guitar…get them to play this song. Either way, this music is awesome.)
—”Almost Martyrs” from The Life of David Gale; I think the composer of this one is Jake Parker; Link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T_VjohGXWc0&feature=related
Also, some people on youtube have posted their favorite movie soundtracks. Here’s a link to one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gnYV0bAY0es
This might be helpful because you can look at the side videos and go through them until you find what you’re looking for.
Others: Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park, The Godfather, Pan’s Labyrinth, etc. If you want a war theme, Hans Zimmer’s the one to look at.
You’ve used some really good ones. I hope this helps.
